You know how to hide ⌘ H or minimise ⌘ M a focused window in OS X, but idiot Cooke has taken away the old method for undoing this to the same window (which used to be done by pressing the same key combo again).
However, there is actually a way to do this on current OSX but it's fairly involved:
press ⌘⇥ (Command Tab) to show your running apps ... keep holding ⌘ press ⇥ until you've selected the minimized app ... keep holding ⌘ press the ⌥ (Option) key and now let go of the ⌘ key N.B. You must release the ⌘ key after pressing the ⌥ key the window will re-expand and you can release now release the ⌥ key
Note: This only works for an app with all of its windows minimized. If there is already a visible window of the app you won't be able to get to the minimized one with this trick.
