How to disable Dashboard

Dashboard used to be useful but unfortunately, what with each app taking up lots of space even when not in use, it ends up being a resource hog depending on what you have in there. Thankfully there is an easy way to disable it in Sierra.

Navigate to the Mission Control pane in System Preferences.

Find the Dashboard dropdown and select "Off".

Now the Dashboard and all the apps within it will quit. Map
